We are social creatures
For better or worse, social media is an inescapable reality of modern communications and marketing. At Sustainable Settlements, we like to use our social powers for good because being social is at the heart of our vision for a participatory, well-connected, sustainable community. You can now follow us and share the good news on Facebook and Instagram.
Future demonstration site at the office
The Sustainable Settlements office is located on the Witchcliffe Ecovillage site at 10437 Bussell Highway, Witchcliffe. We welcome visitors who have called ahead and made an appointment so we can ensure we are available and have enough time to attend to your needs.
We have been busy working to renovate and reinvigorate the old house on the former Foxcliffe site to create a comfortable and efficient office for our team. But our plans extend well beyond the office into the surrounding grounds where we are developing a demonstration site to showcase some of the features and technology that will be utilised at the Ecovillage. Significant infrastructure on the office grounds already exists but this will be developed and expanded. A signed walking trail linking key features and a picnic area is planned to encourage visitors to explore, learn and linger. We are also hoping to build a small group of enthusiastic volunteers to form a community gardening group to work on the vegetable garden. Read more about all of our garden activities in Michelle’s excellent article.
