The Witchcliffe Ecovillage was recognised with two Landscape Architecture awards at the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture (AILA) WA Awards in Perth last week, winning the ‘Gardens’ category for our beautiful cluster community gardens and ‘Infrastructure’ for guidance on civil works and the creation of living streams.
Senior Landscape Architect, Chad Elton said: “It was great to receive recognition from AILA on behalf the collaborative team that’s been based on site for many years now. Personally, I’ve only worked on the project for the last two years, but Nicola Anastas and James Stephenson, who are both registered Landscape Architects, have spent many years working with Mike Hulme and rest of the team getting the project off the ground.”
“We are humbled to be recognised for the landscape architectural inputs that have been at the forefront of the project’s design outcomes for the community, which is growing and evolving rapidly now.”
