What a MASSIVE year it’s been for the Witchcliffe Ecovillage: dynamic, challenging, busy and incredibly rewarding. The Ecovillage Team is so proud of what we’ve achieved this year, and it’s all because of you. Thank you for believing in us and this vision and helping us lay the foundations of our new community. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the diverse mix of wonderful people who have decided to call the Witchcliffe Ecovillage their home. The best part of this job is meeting and getting to know all of you!
With only a handful of lots left in Stage 3, it’s fair to say that lot sales have exceeded our expectations by a country mile! It’s been a challenge for our small team just keeping up with demand but it’s a problem we’re happy to have. We never thought we’d be constructing Stage 4 and 5 at the end of 2021 either, but road shapes are beginning to emerge from the paddocks already. Seeing street trees planted and community sheds being built is so exciting and Wolghine Square is a joy. Construction of the Community Centre is underway and will be finished by mid-year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over this past year while we navigate our way through this unique and complex project. This dynamic and heated real estate market continues to provide plenty of challenges for us, you and your builders, so we appreciate everyone’s generosity and patience. By Christmas, we should have five resident households living in the Ecovillage. And judging from the controlled chaos on the 50+ building sites, there are plenty more residents waiting in the wings. It’s all going to be worth it when we’re finally living here and our community is established.
