With spring on the way, we are excited to announce the dates of our first FREE gardening workshops, available exclusively to Ecovillage residents. In these introductory workshops we will be delving into the establishment and management of organic food gardens for the home as residents get geared up to start work on their Exclusive Use Areas.
Much experience and research has been called upon and collated in the development of our workshops along with anecdotal facts and figures gathered from our demonstration garden over the last couple of years.
The workshops will commence in September and be repeated a number of times, over the months following, so keep an eye out for dates that suit.
Growing Organic Workshop
Saturday, 25 September (2:00pm – 4:30pm)
This aim of this workshop is to give participants an understanding of how ecological systems work and some fundamental principles that can be applied to grow high quality produce with less inputs and waste, while simultaneously improving the health of our landscapes, fostering biodiversity and doing our bit for climate regulation.
Patch from Scratch Workshop

This workshop is designed to provide those about to embark on a household food garden venture with a good idea of what’s involved, and the grounding to get growing in this environment.
